On January 4, 1950, Carol Marie Griffin was born to the late
Charlie Mae White of Adel, GA and Otis (Nadine) Davis of
Miami, Florida. She was preceded in death by three brothers,
Barry Johnson, Robert Keith McCormick and Kenneth Davis;
three sisters, Eleanor Smith, Amanda Gear and Gwen Davis.
Carol graduated from Cook County Training School in 1968. She
later furthered her career at Berrien County School System for the
next 37 years until her health began to fail. She was a faithful
member of Christian Fellowship for many years where she served
as secretary for Sunday School and Director of Vacation Bible
School.
She married the love of her life, Bobby Lee Griffin, who preceded
her in death and to this union, three children were born, Bobby
Griffin, Erica Griffin Deberry (Marcus) and Matt Griffin (Eveny)
all of Adel, GA; one stepdaughter, Angela Copeland (Victor) of
Havelock, NC. She leaves to cherish 15 grandchildren and 9 great-
grandchildren who she loved dearly; seven sisters, Sabrina Taylor,
Phyllis Hixson (Jerry), Catrina King, Jan
Hippolyte, Sabrena Nixon and Michelle
Davis; five brothers, Carl McCormick
(Angie), Wayman White (Waleska),
Andre, Greg and Otis Davis Jr.; six sisters-
in-law, Cloreta, Karen, Ernestine, Mattie
Mae, Julia B, and Jimmy Lee; two
brothers-in-law, Harold and Lonnie B;
special person considered as a brother,
Clint Jackson; two special people she
helped raise as her own,
