Born on January 30, 1984, in Hahira Georgia, Darius was a beloved son of Mr. Freddie Jones and Gloria Simmons. He graduated from Valdosta High School, where his vibrant spirit and infectious laughter left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Darius was known for his loving and caring nature, always putting family and friends at the forefront of his life. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel special, and his warmth touched the lives of many. A passionate sports fan, Darius had a particular love for the Pittsburgh Steelers, often sharing his enthusiasm with friends during game days. He also embraced the thrill of gambling, which became a cherished hobby and a way for him to bond with others. Darius was not just a friend, but a brother and confidant. He is survived by his devoted mother, Gloria Jean Simmons; his children, Morticia Porter, Jasmine Simmons, and Almonte Simmons; his father, Freddie Jones; his special aunt, Betty Jean; his companion, Lisa Coley; his best friend, Sylvester Hamilton; and his brothers Freddie Jones Junior Frazier Jones, Senior John Jones Senior Frederick, Mayo, Almonte Simmons and sisters Marsha Porter Jasmine Simmons Christian Grant Each of them carries a piece of Darius within their hearts, and his legacy of love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
