Earnest Lee McMillian, affectionately known as “Pookie” or “Fargo,” was born on July 7, 1959 in Alberta, AL and took his final breath on February 22, 2026, in Adel, Georgia. He was the son of L.G. Marshall and Tommie Nell (McMillian) Latham.
He was preceded in death by his father, L.G. Marshall and his brother, Robert McMillon. In addition, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas & Nancy McMillian, brother Grover Latham, aunt Annie McMillian, who helped raise him, and nephew, William Belcher.
He is survived by his mother, Tommie Nell Latham, and his sisters: Barbara Drideaux of Adel, Brenda (Willie) Carter of Naylor, Mary Latham of Covington, Gwendolyn and Sandra Latham of Adel. He is also survived by a host of family and friends who loved him dearly.
Earnest loved fishing, basketball, and wrestling. If there was a body of water, you better believe he was trying to pull a fish out of it. Earnest also thought that he was the world’s greatest chef and loved the Miami Dolphins. Although he was a fighter, he lost his battle to cancer. He will truly be missed, along with all his silly antics and random home improvements.
