ELLA T. KINSEY passed away at her home peacefully on
December 21, 2022, surrounded by her loving children and
immediate family. ELLA T. was born in Adrien, Georgia on July 14, 1933, to
the late James Whitehead and Gertrude Walker.
ELLA T.
and Willie T. were twins. Willie T. died at birth.
During her late school years,
ELLA T. met and married her
husband, Hilbert Kinsey (from Dublin, Georgia), and they
had 12 children. In 1955, she moved from Georgia to Dade
County and worked for the Goodstein family. She later
retired from South Miami Hospital. In her late 30s and 40s,
she completed her nursing degree at Miami Dade Commu-
nity College. ELLA T.’S favorite past times were sewing,
knitting, listening to gospel music, and reading the Bible.
She has been a faithful Christian all throughout her life. ELLA T. was preceded in death by her father, James
Whitehead; mother, Gertrude Walker; children: Billy Joe
Kinsey, James Charles Kinsey, Alton Kinsey, Alfred Kinsey,
and Timothy Kinsey; brothers and sisters: Inez Whitehead,
Betsey Whitehead, John Whitehead, James Whitehead,
Annie Whitehead, and Pearly Mae Whitehead; and a grand-
son, Gary Damon. ELLA T. is survived by her loving children: Rosa Dean
Kinsey of Miami, FL, Mary Ann Cooper (Dan) of
Springhill, FL, Daniel Kinsey (Abigail) Kinsey of Crawford-
ville, FL, Pastor Curtis Kinsey (Bishop Rosa) of Miami, FL,
Theresa Padilla (Carlos) of Homerville, GA, Anthony
Kinsey of Lenox, GA, Darren Kinsey (Lisa) of Tallahassee,
FL, Larry Kinsey (Mary) of Miami, FL; additional
children: Dr. Stephen Cole, Dr. Jessica Kirsch Eads,
Jennifer Morris (Robert), Joey Butler, and Jeanine Cole
(Geoff); a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and
great
-great grandchildren; and other sorrowing relatives and
friends who will miss
