Freddy Lee Johnson, beloved father, brother, and friend, was born on February 26, 1961, in Tifton, Georgia. He passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Freddy served his country with honor as an Army veteran, embodying the values of dedication and service. His sense of humor was infectious, bringing joy to all who knew him. A proud supporter of the Houston Texans, he was often found cheering for his favorite NFL team, sharing in the excitement of every game with his family and friends.
As a long-time truck driver, Freddy traveled the highways with a heart full of love for his family. He was known for his classic style, particularly his starched jeans, which he wore with pride. Freddy had a sweet tooth that delighted him as much as his passion for old-school music. He could often be found on the dance floor, the life of the party, surrounded by laughter and good company.
Freddy is preceded in death by his father, Grady Johnson, Sr., and his mother, Alberta Johnson. He leaves behind a loving family, including his son, Kenny Johnson; daughters Jasmine Johnson and Danielle Williams; brothers Stevenson Johnson, Nathan Johnson, and Hallward Johnson; and sisters Na Seen Pope, Veretta Jackson, and Marion Johnson. Freddy was also a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren: Raya Williams, Freddie Williams III, Brandon Williams, and many more who adored him.
Freddy’s warmth and humor will be profoundly missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. A celebration of his life will be held to honor his memory and the joy he brought to so many.
Rest in peace, dear Freddy. Your light will continue to shine in our hearts.
