Mrs. Hollis was born December 18, 1943 in Adel, Georgia, daughter of the late Melvin Williams Senior and Albirda Williams. She joined the Mount Olive Baptist Church at an early age. She was educated in Cook county and graduated from the Cook county training school in 1961 and eventually the University Hospital School of Nursing in 1964 and later obtaining her B.S. in nursing from Tuskegee University. She later relocated to Atlanta where she worked at Fulton County Health Department for 13 years before returning to take care of her mother. She retired from Berrien County Hospital after 20+ years. While back at her home, she met the love of her life Mr. Dewitt Hollis and later joined the Mount Moriah Freewill Baptist Church, where she sung in the choir for many years. Mrs. Hollis leaves to cherish her memory her husband Emmett Hollis Sr., two daughters Kelli Morris (Phil) and Robin Hollis, Also Sandra Cody, Dollie Jean Seay, Dewitt Hollis Jr., and Tina Tigner her loving sister Mary Tones, six Grand children Brian Burroughs, Caden Burroughs, Kaleigh Morris, Trinity Morris, Phil Morns III, Aniya Humphrey, Aaliyah Humphrey, special niece Joi Williams, special friends Phyliss Innis, Yvonne lackson, and Carolyn Lewis. She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Melvin Williams I , Johnnie Mae Williams, Queen McClendon, Elmer Williams, Juliette Bivins, and Willie D. William
