Mr. James Purvis Daly, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend,
was born on September 29, 1936, in Pensacola, Florida. He lived a life defined
by hard work, devotion to family, and a love for the simple joys of life.
Mr. Dailey found great peace and happiness in tending to his garden, a place
where his patience and care truly shined. Above all, he deeply loved and
cherished his family, always placing them at the center of his life.
He dedicated 40 years of faithful service to Amaco Fabrics before retiring. In
addition, he also worked at Berrien Products, where he continued to
demonstrate his strong work ethic and commitment.
Mr. Dailey was preceded in death by his son, Roger Davis; his daughter, Retha
Daly; his brothers, Clyde Daly and Irvin Daly; and his sisters, Betty Roth-
schild, Viola Hicks, Annie Mae Witsy, Maybel Johnson, Lucille Shackelford,
and Johnny Mae Sanders.
He leaves to cherish his loving wife, Mrs. Margie Dailey; one devoted son,
Daniel Dailey (Barbara Dailey); and his daughters, Eloise Branham (Leonard
Branham), Margaret Halback (preceded in death by her husband, Frank
Halback), Marion Preston (Tyrone Preston), Rosa Smith (Raymond Smith),
and Jacqueline Troutman.
Mr. Dailey also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and
many other relatives and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
