JEALLEAN COVINGTON SMITH's entry to life was in 1933 to Alma Bee and Rossie Covington. She departed this life on July 7, 2022, at Tift Regional Medical Center. She was the last living "PIONEER" of her siblings. In 1956, she was united in holy matrimony to John L. Smith. To this union 7 children were born. In her later years, she became a member of St. James A.M.E. Church. JALLEAN will not be mourned for she would have it so. We rejoice because her struggles and weeping are behind her. We press with greater determination that her life shall not have been in vain. We shall follow her life. As found in Psalm 90:10: " The days of our years are threescore years of ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away." JEALLEAN COVINGTON leaves to await the coming of Christ 7 CHILDREN: Darcell Robinson of Adel, Ga; Robert Lee Smith (Mary) of Sparks, Ga; Waunell S. Johnson of Dalzell, Sc; Vernice Smith (Andy) of Sparks, Ga, Harriet Trapp of Dalzell, Sc; Cassandra Mcdonald of Adel, Ga; 3 SISTERS-IN-LAW: Annette Turner of Adel, Ga; Doretha Turner of Adel, Ga, Mary Ellen of Adel, Ga; 12 GRANDCHILDREN; 30 GREAT GRAND-CHILDREN; 6 GREAT-GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; also a host of nieces, nephews; and a SPECIAL NEPHEW, Ronnie Covington; many cousins and sorrowing friends. JEALLEAN was preceded in death by her HUSBAND, John L. Smith; MOTHER and FATHER: Alma and Rossi; 9 SIBLINGS: Robert, Willard, Wavert, Curtis, Dewitt, Willie Joe, Charles, Mildred, and Drewnell
