was born January 12, 1957, to the late Elijah Franklin Smith and the late Emma Lucille Smith of Moultrie Georgia. he departs this life and January 20,2024 at Emory, Memorial hospital in Atlanta around family and friends.

Mr. Smith was a graduate of Moultrie, senior high school class of 1975, a standout basketball, and football player. He was preceded in death by his parent's three sisters Helen Huckaby, Retha Mae Palmer & Patha Ruth Burgess.  Brothers, Cedric Smith and Franklin smith. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Mary Smith one daughter Latasha Smith (granddaughter) Nakyjah Smith one son Jerry Jerome Smith Jr. one granddaughter (Jerriona smith).

 Three brother Darold Smith of Moultrie Georgia, David smith (Rubyann) of Warner Robins Three sisters Gloria Stewart (Tillman) Trenton New jersey, Llene Knighton and Sarah Claitt (Jahnnie) of Moultrie, Georgia.
