decades of service, he held numerous leadership positions, including TeamChief with the 15th Infantry Regiment in Germany, Section Chief with the17th Combat Engineer Battalion at Fort Hood, Texas, Section Chief with the
304th Signal Battalion i n Korea, and numerous other assignments i n Fort Stewart, Fort Dix, Fort Huachuca, and Fort Gordon. He served as a Drill Sergeant and Instructor, Battalion Communications Chief, First Sergeant,Operations Sergeant Major, Platoon Sergeant, and ultimately as CommandSergeant Major of multiple battalions, including the 4 l s t Signal Battalion inKorea and the 55lst Signal Battalion at Fort Gordon.He completed a host of military education programs, including the PrimaryLeadership Course, Drill Sergeant School, Advanced NoncommissionedOfficer Course, Master Fitness Course, NBC Training, Battle Staff Coarse ,and the prestigious Sergeant Major Course.
