Lachaka C Joiner

Mrs. Lachaka C. Joiner was born June 26, 1976 to the late Sheila
Maxwell Brown and Alvin Crawford who resides in Adel, GA.
Lachaka was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Sparks, GA
along with her husband. She was a graduate of Cook County High School
and later furthered her education at Valdosta Technical College to pursue
a degree in nursing. She was employed in the Emergency Department at
Lanier County Hospital.
One of Lachaka’s greatest accomplishments was her family. She loved orchestrating family
events which included cooking and having a good time. She was indeed a loving and caring
person who had a soft spot for kids and people in general. People would refer to her as the
“glue” in her family and the community. All of this inspired her to start “Party Momma’s
Events” in 2011. This business allowed her to make an unforgettable impact on the lives of
many. She was accompanied by her dedicated friends, Michelle Sutton, Sonya Newsome and
later JaQuan McMillian.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bessie Mae Chapman and Willie Chapman.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Gregory Lee Joiner; five children, Greg
Joiner, Jr. (Tonya), Jeremy Rubio, Corey Joiner, Tavarius Joiner and Danea Joiner; daughter,
Cheryl Carter; three siblings, Corey Baker (Corma), Torod Baker and Jarmar Barker (Samone);
two special friends, Samona Durr and Carla Brown; aunts, Pamela McCann (Charles),
Kimberly Brown (Kenneth), Wanda Lane (Sonny), Sonya Buckles (Forrest), Deborah Deberry
(Ernest), Vanessa Davis (Bobby); uncles, Robert Chapman (Dawanna), Curt Chapman and
James Chapman (Amanda); sister-in-law, Gwen Grier (Craig); brothers-in-law, Gary Joiner
(Sheeka) and Vincent Joiner (Catherine); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and devoted friends
