Maria De La Luz Garcia

Maria De La Luce Garcia, affectionately known as Marylou, passed away
peacefully in her home in Moultrie, Georgia, on August 9, 2024,
surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 7, 1953, in Taft, Texas, she
was the cherished daughter of the late Bernardo Rodriguez Sr. and
Alicia Rodriguez (née Ozuna).
Marylou grew up in Taft, Texas, where she graduated from Taft Texas
High School. She went on to dedicate her life as a devoted housewife,
creating a loving home for her husband, Alberto Garcia, and their four
children.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Alberto Garcia, and her
children: Roger Rodriguez (Adriana), Albert JR Garcia, Sandra Garcia,
and Noel Garcia (Shannell). Her memory will also be cherished by her
siblings: Hector Rodriguez (Carol), Ruben Rodriguez, Carmen Espino,
Vangie Rodriguez, Noemi Flores (Jesse), and Susie Garcia, as well as her
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Marylou was preceded in death by her siblings Ramiro Rodriguez
(spouse Maria), Bernardo Rodriguez Jr., and Diana Rodriguez.
She was a nurturing presence to everyone who knew her, and her warm
spirit will be deeply missed by all. We will miss you, Marylou, when we
gather to play your favorite game, “Lotería,” and your love and light will
remain with us always.
