Prettina Brown Obituary

Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.”
— Proverbs 31:30–31

Ms.Prettina  Migon  Brown departed this life on May 8, 2026, at 11:52 p.m. at South Georgia Hospice. She was born on May 8, 1979, to Shirley Moore and George Brown.

Prettina gave her life to Christ at an early age and became a member of Galatia  Baptist Church. As she grew in faith, she later chose to rededicate her life to Christ and be baptized again, reaffirming her love and commitment to the Lord.

She received her education through the Valdosta City School System and the Lowndes County School System. Protina was employed with Parkwood Developmental Center and Grace Home Healthcare, where she faithfully and devotedly carried out her duties until her health began to fail.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Reverend Albert Moore and Maggie Moore.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her fiancé and devoted caregiver, Aaron Young; her daughters, Nadijah Wills (Ernesto) of Valdosta, Georgia, and Nevaeh Young; her son, Zacoby McClain ( Lindy ) of Hahira, Georgia; her beloved grandchildren, Karmelo Carter, Jersey, Malachi, and Micaiah; her parents, Shirley Moore Everett and Charles Joy George Brown; her sisters, Nicole Moore McCloud (Edward) of Valdosta, Georgia, Siobhan Kinney (Carlos) of Waycross, Georgia, Lisa Brown of Augusta, Georgia, and Teresa Brown of Augusta, Georgia; her brothers, Earlish Locklear II of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Octavius Everett (Tiara); bonus children, Tiana Jenkins of Valdosta, Georgia, Ariel Young of Greenville, South Carolina, Erica Young of Greenville, South Carolina, and Courtney Young (Cameron) of Spartanburg, South Carolina; a special friend, Precious Kelly; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sorrowing friends.

Prettina will always be remembered for her loving spirit, her dedication to her family, and the faith she carried throughout her life. Her memories will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
