Rhudene E. Morgan was born on May 8, 1934 in Montgomery County, Georgia, to the
late Jerry Wiggs and Elmira Wiggs West. After the passing of her father, she moved
with her family to Valdosta, Georgia, where she resided until her passing.
Rhudene received her education in Valdosta and graduated from Dasher High School in
1951. She began working at an early age as a housekeeper for the Pearlman family. She
later found employment at Crackin Good Bakery, where she worked for 32 years until
retirement. After retirement, she began working part-time as a foster grandparent in

if she filled your stomach, she would warm your heart. She was a kind woman of few
words, but a woman of strong presence and a warm smile.
She was a faithful member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, where she
served on the kitchen committee, as a church usher, and on Mission Circle # 3.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Wiggs, her mother Elmira Wiggs- West,
a sister, Cleo Thomas, and a brother, Willie James Wiggs.
