Walter “Walt Baby Love” Thomas, 71 of Valdosta, Ga. departed this earthly life on July 3,2024 in Lake City, Fl.
Walter Thomas Sr. (Walt Baby Love) as he was affectionately known was born February 6, 1953, to Willie Lee Thomas and Erma Lee Davis in Valdosta, Ga. He attended Valdosta City School system where he earned his GED. Walt Baby proceeded to pick up the trade and worked as a Mechanic, Car Body Repair, and Car Painting which he loved to do. He was a member of the St. Peter AME church here in Valdosta over the years. He was a firm believer and Loved the Lord.
Walt Baby Love was a Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother and Friend to many. One thing about Walt Baby Love he loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with his children, he looked forward to the regular visits. As long as his kids were happy, he was happy. Walt Baby Love
really enjoyed some good music and just chilling at home with his loving wife of 46 years Charlie Mae Thomas who he cared for up until her passing just a few months ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Lee Thomas and Erma Lee Davis, His Loving Wife Charlie Mae Thomas, two sisters Cecelia Finnesee and Lillie Porter, a brother Jerry Davis and two grandchildren Jalen Hodge and Jamayia Rowe.
Walt Baby Love leaves to cherish his memories three sons Jermaine (Jamane) Rowe of Hahira, Ga. Carlos Walter Hodge of Kathleen, Ga. and Walter (Angela) Thomas Jr. of Valdosta, Ga. Two daughters Melody (Earl) Horne of Valdosta, Ga. And Natalie (Gilbert) Scott of Valdosta, Ga. Two sisters Wanda Stokes and Gloria Thomas of Valdosta, Ga. Three brothers Michael Thomas, Henry Austin, and Calvin Davis all of Valdosta, Ga. Eleven Grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
