We celebrate the life of Willie Hines, who was called to his heavenly home on
April 29, 2024. Born on October 12, 1957, to Willie Hines Sr. and Mary Alice
Hines, who preceded him in death, Willie lived a life marked by steadfast
faith and a passion for the simple joys of life.
Growing up alongside his two brothers, Timothy and Johnny Hines, and two
sisters, Shirley Coffee (David) and Delisa Coleman, Willie’s early life in a
home filled with love and laughter deeply shaped him. From a young age,
Willie discovered a fascination for working with his hands—a gift he
inherited from his father. This interest in tinkering developed into a lifelong
passion for working on cars, bringing him immense satisfaction and peace.
Family, friends, and the bonds he shared with his siblings were central to
Willie's life. His relationships were built on a foundation of mutual respect
and care, attributes he deeply valued. Willie's faith was a vital part of his
existence. Despite health challenges, he maintained a resilient and positive
spirit, drawing strength from his belief in the Lord. His favorite saying was,
“God got me.”
As we remember Willie, we celebrate a life lived with integrity and
simplicity. We are thankful for the quiet moments of reflection, the joy of
shared memories, and the gentle strength of his presence.
Today, as we reflect on Willie's life, we are reminded of the profound quiet
strength and the peaceful reliance on faith that he demonstrated. His legacy is
a testament to living a life rooted in personal beliefs and finding joy in one's
passions. He also leaves to cherish two nephews, David Nathaniel Clark and
Markeius Coffee; one niece, Jaylyn Briann Coleman; a host of uncles, aunts,
other relatives and friends. Willie will be dearly missed but forever cherished
in the hearts of those who loved him.
Join us today as we celebrate his life through this worship service,
symbolizing our gratitude to God for the time he gave us this treasure. It is
